Engagement season is just around the corner. Did you know more couples get engaged at Christmas than any other time of year? One of the first things I ask our couples is “what was the proposal like?” Most couples are so close they can practically read each other’s minds (which is a good reason to get married, right?!) This, however, can be a real problem when you’re trying to pop the big question!

Ryan knew that Katie would know exactly what was up if he proposed to her in a hot air balloon, so he saved that ride for later to keep the adrenaline running high. I think this is an excellent idea, because it’s tempting to slow down on the little surprises that keep a romance burning once one feels safe and secure in a relationship. While it doesn’t have to be as magnanimous as hot air balloons all the time… it’s certainly nice to have those little reminders that your mate is still crazy about you.

But how does one top a hot air balloon ride for the wedding? We just happen to have two amazing horses, Sugar and Ben, who are always thrilled to “perform” for our couples! Katie and Ryan were able to share their love for the outdoors, their need for peaceful countryside, and their love of thrills right here in the Smoky Mountains.

Katie’s sweet, innocent smile will stay with me for a very long time. This young couple exhibits a contagious energy that no one can ignore… Katie and Ryan, keep up those little surprises for each other! May your love be an adventure for a lifetime….Contact Regina about your wedding today
